In Loving Memory
"Our Nephew died in April. Well March 31st to be exact. Our stimulus check goes to pay the very expensive plane tickets for this very heartbreaking turn in our lives. The remaining $200? There are so many bills to Pay...which vulture gets it first? "

Thank you Uncle Sam
"Uncle Sam bought diapers, outfits, food, prepaid college fund for a month, gasoline, paid down credit cards, paid for car insurance, and a nice dinner out. "

bills.. blah... :(
"I was hoping to take my daughters to the beach with the stimulus check... unfortunately.. I had a shut off notice for electric, and there were other bills pending.. many past due.. grocery shopping to be done..Just 'stuff' for the household.. and that's pretty much where mine went. :( it's gone... just like that...... I hate BILLS. *The pic I have shown here.. is when we were on a mini vacation to Rhode Island... last year.. when gas was much cheaper.. and I had a bit more money..:o"

Something fun and then there's debt
"I bought a pretty dress and pretty shoes to wear to my friend's wedding. The rest went to paying off credit card debt. In 4 more months I should be credit card debt free!"

A Bassett for our Basset
"We purchased a new couch when we bought our new home last August. The couch was put on a "no 12 month interest" plan from Bassett Furniture. With our $900, and an unexpected escrow refund check, we have now paid for our basset's Bassett couch. Libby loves it."

"I wrote a nice big fat check to the credit card that I have been using all month, waiting for my stimulus check. I still owe two months back electricity! Think we'll see anymore?"

Who's Kidding Who? STIMULUS?
"Spent my stimulus on gasoline and credit card debt...didn't get the amount I was supposed to (how do they calculate it?) The picture I sent is just something I took that reflects my mood. Gloomy."

Paying back the government
"Living and paying taxes in Minnesota is very expensive. so my stimulus went to pay off the $7,700 loan I took out to pay my state, federal, and SS taxes. (and I make under 24,000 yr.) It sucks being self employed. "

Pay my debts
"I put my entire stimulus rebate check on my car loan. (A couple more of these checks would be great because then my car would be paid off! Only then will I be able to spend more money shopping). Then I had a yard sale, in hopes the locals would spend their rebate check locally, stimulating my savings account even more! Getting the rebate check was a great motivator to clean out the stuff I don't need. "

Nothing Left
"Not only did I not get the full $600 for some reason (and I'm the only one still that I have heard that didn’t get the full 600) but all of it went to the hospital, doctor and credit card bills that we have racked up after having our daughter last year... all because our insurance was bogus and there are so many illegals stealing our government help that I was denied any state or federal assistants... thanks George for the help I love watching you spend so much money on your daughters wedding while I as many other parents sit every night wondering how they will feed their child tomorrow and pray they can give them a roof over their head for another month."

Gas, Food & Bills
"My hubby and I spent our $600 on three things. 1. GAS ($100) 2. Bonus to the Student Loan repayment ($360) 3. Groceries - we bought fruit from our local farmers market and made jams and jellies ($140) We finished paying off our Credit Card debt in October of 2007 and now we are working on our student loans!! Pay off the loan we took out to pay taxes
"Well considering that we had to borrow $1100 to just pay our federal and state income taxes, we will use the rebate to pay off that loan and its interest. It sucks, we never got to spend the rebate at all."

How Low Can We Go
"I paid bills. The dollar is falling like a rock and food and energy prices are through the roof. It's a good thing the government excludes food and energy from their fudged inflation numbers, or I might be really worried. Wake up. "

Learn a lesson
"Used the entire check to pay down credit card debt. Sorry, corporate welfare clients. We may not be doing our part to "stimulate" the economy, but it wouldn't need stimulating if billions weren't being sucked out by the war profiteers to enrich the likes of Halliburton and our politicians."

New Roof
"Instead of foolishly piddling our stimulus check away (sorry to let you down G Dubya) we are putting ours into repairing our leaky roof. Whatever is left, if any, will likely go to bills.
If the government REALLY wanted to stimulate our economy maybe they should look at ways to lower the cost of living IE gas, oil, groceries and the like. Just another way for our politicians (who have no idea how tight things are right now) to feel that they are giving back to the American people!"

Ein Kaffee, bitte.
"Since I live in Germany, with my ~$600 rebate, after writing myself a check and converting to Euros, I bought myself a nice cup of coffee! Thanks, Uncle Sam.
ps - I put the remaining Euro into my German bank account. I will really use the $ to pay student loans. :)"

Just Not Enough
"I used my $600.00 to pay down some of my bills. Vet bills and credit card bills are high these days. Really the $600 was the tip of the iceberg. Where is the rest?...It was a tease."
