• Just Another Broke and Uninsured American

  

  "After having emergency surgery to remove a baseball sized brain tumor that put me on the edge of death, I spent my stimulus check on medical bills due to the unfortunate fact that I am one of the many uninsured Americans in this country. While it was nice to recieve the money and have it available to use at my discretion I do not believe that this is an appropriate solution to our country's rising economic crisis. Way to go out GW. "

• A new crown and I don't mean for my head!

  

  "Well at first I was gonna put it in the bank to keep saving for a house. But then I went to the dentist and now I need to replace an old gold cap on one of my molars with a new porcelain one. :-( So thanks President Bush for supplementing my dental coverage. Maybe my dentist can use the $$ to buy some toothpaste. Somehow I doubt that. On the bright side, maybe I can get some $$ for the old gold crown. It's a big one. OBAMA 2008! "

• Poor Puppy

  

  "Got my stimulus check last week. Yup. And, it is all gone. Where did it go??? Hmm. To this here best friend of mine.

  $225 Annual Physical Exam
  $140 Kenneling for one weekend with grooming
  $650 Teeth Cleaning
  $ 30 Canned Food due to tooth extraction for 7 days
  $ 90 Sick Puppy - Gastro-enteritis due to canned food
  $ 30 Prescription dog food to fix gastroenteritis
  
  Cleaning all the mess off the floor for three days due to change in dog food? Utterly disgusting. Lack of sleep due to midnight runs to the potty? Exhausting. Dr. West? Off to Rio I am sure. Poor old man. "

  "When my dad got sick, they took away the house. The car. His pride. Everything. Then they did everything they could not to give him social security though he never took a sick day for 30 years. The government didn't care if he ended up on the street while they penny-pinched. We took him and mum in and used ALL of our rebates to pay his health insurance for a couple more months and make our rental house, with holes in the walls, a little more comfortable for him with his oxygen tank. Something the government SHOULD have provided already. It still gives us a good, terrible laugh. Thanks, Uncle Sam, you're so generous."
