  • Moving

"Well, I tought I would be  able to buy something with my stimulus check but the only thing I bought was a moving van and boxes and a storage room.  Now that the economy has almost crashed, me ,y husband and my two children can't afford to live own our own so we have to move in with my dad.  We though we would pay off some bills and get back on our feet but it will be awhile beofre we can do that.  Since we do not own a house we have nothing to borrow against.  Believe me this is not what I want!  I just hope and pray that something will happen and we will get a break.  It seems only the people that have a it of money gets a good break and the ones that are middle class get pushed over into the hole to be buried!"

  • Not enough...

"We spent most our check on bills that were months behind! And my husband and I actually got to have a date night...first one in almost 6 months! The rest went to our sons 2nd birthday and savings. But it won't stay there long...we need a bigger house! So the stimulus helped but not nearly enough...for the sinking ecomony!"

  • Summer Camp!!!

"My wife went back to work at the end of last year, after being home with the kids for 10 years. Of course we did not put a whole lot of thought into the SUMMER and no school! So, the rebate check went towards a great summer camp for the kids. They are having a blast, busy all day, and we did not have to scramble for summer babysitting."

  • Stimulate what?

"I spent my stimulus check on food and clothing for my son and I. It didn't go far. Of course, because I am a single mother with a low income job, I didn't get as much as others. How's that for sense?"

  • Our First Child

"3 days prior to recieving my stimulus check, my husband and I had our first child. Without this check, I would not have been financially able to take any maternity leave. I used this check to pay bills that would have been covered by my paycheck."

  • Stimulus not worth it for us....

"we did not get a check... the goverment took our check for child support. here is the kicker... the child support is for my husband's first child who is 19, has not lived with his mom for over a year and graduated high school but because his mother has not turned in any of the paperwork to stop the support, my husband is still being forced to pay her... we received no income tax (state or federal) or stimulus check... it all went to his greedy exwife. "We are putting aside the money to pay for our 10-month-old daughter's childcare. Our $1500 check will pay for about 6 weeks of care at 30 hours per week. Maybe a little will be left over so we can buy her some clothes that aren't Mommy's hand-me-downs!"

"I wasn't able to buy anything but pay bills. I'm a single mother of 3 kids and I only got $600. I feel robbed but what can I do? I just worked with the money that was given to me and hopefully I'll have some left for uniforms for my kids to go to school. :("

  • It's all Greek to me!

"We used our stimulus check to buy some greek cookies from the recent Greek Festival in Winston-Salem, NC. (Notice the crumb in the upper eyelash from the mad-greek-cookie-gnawing that took place moments before this picture was snapped)Also, we bought evil eye charms (it's a greek thing), gas for the car, baby food, baby formula, baby diapers, baby wipes, and the remainder went towards paying off the dishwasher (that washes the baby bottles)."

  • The Selling of America

"My stimulus check is in the envelope that my grandchild is holding. Our foolish government borrowed this money, and billions more, from Communist China. Our children and grandchildren will be paying it back. Just thought that I would help her to make her first payment. Enjoy your trinkets and baubles. They come at a high cost to future generations."
