  • C'mon to my house, to my house...

"Bought 8 sheets of OSB subfloor and 20 boxes of laminate floor which I installed throughout our house. Since I can't sell my house, I figured we might as well improve it. The dogs were existing. "

"Well, I was laid off from my job about a week before the check arrived. While I am very grateful the check came when it did, I ended up paying the monthly bills until my unemployment kicked in. Oh well for paying off the credit card as planned..."

  • Not enough...

"We spent most our check on bills that were months behind! And my husband and I actually got to have a date night...first one in almost 6 months! The rest went to our sons 2nd birthday and savings. But it won't stay there long...we need a bigger house! So the stimulus helped but not nearly enough...for the sinking ecomony!"

  • Single mom just trying to make the ends meet

"I spent $600 of my stimulus check on the deposit of a new apartment because my current landlord never paid the mortgage, until I got the letter from the bank saying I had 30 days to get out because the house was being foreclosed upon. And when ever I receive the $300 I will use that money to put food in my son's cute little face. "

  • THIS WAS NOT ENOUGH

"I spent my money on catching up on bills, such as rent, gas, groceries, and utilities. I got $600, $300 for me and $300 for my child and I'm sorry but if they wanted people to use this money for luxury reasons, I feel they should have given a lot more due to the economy. The way things are going it really doesn't make sense that everything is rising in cost from gas to house prices but people are constantly getting laid off or their paychecks are not going up. The way things are going in order for a single person to have a decent living you MUST have two jobs. As you can see in the pic I'm at work, thats all I can do is work, due to everything being so high and jobs are not paying thats the only way I can provide for my child. It would have been nice if they sent enough for people like me that work 40 or more hours a week to be able to go on a vacation and use time that I can't take cause I don't have the money. I really hope next time the government really take a look at the way things are and have more consideraton on people that work everyday but because of high costs on everything we are just barely getting by."

  • Puh-leeeeaaasssssssse!

"I used my stimulus check for a second deposit I had to give to my landlord because of the state of the economy. He wanted to make sure he has some kind of security incase we couldn't afford our rent and had to move out! Ha! My fiance' used his to pay toward his student loan. No shopping, no school supplies for the kids, no fun, no dinner or groceries. Just paying for my landlords security. :("

  • A Little Late...

"Well, I spent our stimulus check on our bills, and our rent, and that didn't even put a nitch on what we owe for rent, I am a single mother of 3, and we are 3 months still behind on rent...it didn't seem to be enough with the prices of everything else going sky high."

We saved ourselves from eviction, paid the electric, paid the water bill.got gas,got something to eat, and got the 2 oldest kids a toy,but we're still missing money from the stimulus package we filed jointly and only got $600 for us when it should've been $1200 for married couples,we'll see if i get that money!"

  • It was spent before it came...

"I spent my check on BILLS. We needed to get caught up and could use one more of those to do so. This economy and gas prices stink. We couldn't do anything we wanted to because we live paycheck to paycheck and just HAD TO GET CAUGHT UP ON BILLS. "
