Hubby finally was able to get my ring.
"After saving every bit of money that we could for over a year including our federal, state and stimulus checks he finally saved enough money to buy my engagement ring. We could had bought a house and moved but instead I have something that sparkles a heck of a lot more than a house. Its a 3 carat Asscher cut diamond with 30 staging diamonds on the band and side for a total weight of 5 carats. "

Some stimulus
"Following the January announcement, in anticipation of receiving Dub-ya's election year stimulus bribe, I allocated the $1200 toward the purchase of this cemetery monument for my wife, who died in November at the too-young age of 54. The money for the monument stayed in the US."

$20 short, that's crazy!
"I'm totally disabled due to a back injury at work and because I had $2980 in income by cashing out my sick leave from work, I was $20 under the required amount to get a stimulus check. I need it badly but don't "qualify", explain that one Bush! I had to charge a whirlpool tub to help my back because I can't afford physical therapy."

Their Down-payment
"When my dad got sick, they took away the house. The car. His pride. Everything. Then they did everything they could not to give him social security though he never took a sick day for 30 years. The government didn't care if he ended up on the street while they penny-pinched. We took him and mum in and used ALL of our rebates to pay his health insurance for a couple more months and make our rental house, with holes in the walls, a little more comfortable for him with his oxygen tank. Something the government SHOULD have provided already. It still gives us a good, terrible laugh. Thanks, Uncle Sam, you're so generous."

Just Try To Find Us
"Myself, my husband, and our 4 kids wont see our check for a while. We're in the US army in alaska and getting ready to move yet again to georgia this time. so we'll be "homeless" in route to georgia and our check will be in the mail somewhere until we get a new place to live. paper check isnt being sent until the 20th of june and we leave that day. I think I'd rather wipe my arse with it. Hopefully my friends families who have lost their husbands in Iraq are wiping their butt with theirs too! I added a pic of me in my bathroom in alaska LOL!"

The Tax Man Giveth, the Tax Man Taketh Away..
"My 2007 tax bill was $1550. I got a $1500 stimulus check. Guess mine is just going to the bank to cover the check to Mr. IRS. Somebody needs to pay for all you people's spending sprees."

I spent it on my mommy!
"After paying $250.00 to Bank of America CC bill, I spent the weekend with my mother in Philly. We went on a food tour of the Reading Terminal Market, tasted great wines at a wine tasting, and took my mother to a 5 course dinner on a great boat called Moshalu! Dinner took a lot of my stimulus check away. But as MasterCard would say, it was priceless... spending the weekend with my mother on mother's day!"

Screwed by The Man... Again
"According to 'The Man' I make too much money to qualify for a stimulus check. I'm 'single' even though I have a healthy child support payment that goes out every month. I'm 'rich' even though I live in Marin where rent and daily living expenses pretty much negate my six figure salary. I know, I know, you're saying "Boo hoo. Cry me a river, pal." I'm right there with you. I just don't think the national average applies to expensive places like the SF Bay Area or New York. Stimulus checks here aren't going to go very far or do diddly squat (BTW, on the map, dark red is the most expensive in regards to cost of living)."

"We bought absolutely nothing! Why is that, you say? Because this G$%^D*#& government of ours decided we make too much money! Most of which went right back to them on April 15th. Uhhhh... I am hurting like most people. I clean my own house, mow my own lawn, get up everyday to go to work. Where's my little sumthin' sumthin'?! "
