Acupuncture for my Dog
"I'm using mine to pay off about half of my veterinary bill. My dog had an expensive winter with recurring medical issues, including back trouble. Luckily, acupuncture has really helped! Thanks Bush, for spending the country's money on my dog!"

"Spent ours on a Bulldog Puppy as a breeding investment(AKC papers and all). So we should see our stimulus, plus some, again in about a year and a half. Now we just pray she isn't sterile."

Bobby won't get to Puppy Lake...Yet
"We took our elderly dog Bobby to the vet for vaccinations, a check up and to get some doggie pain meds. We know it's only putting off the inevitable trip to "Puppy Lake" for a short time, but we should be able to keep him around in relative comfort for the next few months. Cost: $490 "

Italy? Caribbean? Canada? Nope, Puppy Pills
"I had big plans for my stimulus, which included taking a trip that would put the first stamp in my passport. However, I got laid off the day after I received my payment and then my puppy got violently ill. My stimulus didn't even cover her ER visit. Thanks for helping my puppy get better."

My cat peed it out
"My cat went into congestive heart failure brought on by previously undiagnosed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, necessitating administration of potent diuretics and blood thinners. My check went towards the (what will likely be the first of many) $2000+ veterinary bill. "

I WANT A PONY!
"I've wanted my own horse for as long as I can remember. I promised myself a few years ago that whatever I had to do to make it happen before I turned 30, I would do it. The "PonyMunny" savings account has been steadily growing and my $600 was directly deposited into that account. I'm waiting until July to make the big purchase. The 600 will go either to the horse itself or to the long list of "stuff" I'll need! Photo is of a wonderful pony, Debonair, that I helped to train. If he was a hand and a half taller HE would be my purchase!"

This Economy is for the Dogs
"We decided to adopt a pug puppy named Ralph. The stimulus check should cover the adoption fee, vet visits, shots, heartworm pills, toys, obedience school, neutering....and the cost of dry cleaning the down comforter he decided to pee on the other morning! My sister suggested I name the dog George after the prez...but I couldn't do that to this little face!"

My Ominous Friends
"Mine is going to pay the portion on my credit card that was charged to my vet for the basic annual check-ups plus shots for my two cats. And they're HEALTHY! My bill is due so I sure wish they'd go ahead and stimulate me already!"

Alternative Fuel
"My check is going towards more hay for the horses as you can see they are pretty happy about that - little do they know if gas goes any higher we'll be riding them to work and school! "

No Debt, No Giardia
"Most of my 600 clams went to paying off the remainder of my credit card debt (feels good to be debt-free), and the rest went to treating a sudden and particularly messy case of giardia contracted by our puppy, Olive. "

Poor PeeWee
"A few weeks ago, our new puppy PeeWee jumped off our bed and broke his paw on the side of the dresser. Poor thing, only 8 weeks old! They made him a little cast at the vet, and I'm happy to say he is recovering just fine. We're glad to have a little extra money to apply toward this unexpected event. "

I bought pleos for my brother and I
"i bought a pleo because i missed my dog linus. and what better than a rubber, robotic, plastic leaf-eating dinosaur that periodically has narcolepsy to fill that need? that small boost to my personal happiness probably triggered many other spending sprees over the last few months, which surely has boosted our economy. i just wish i could ride it to work because the gas prices keep going up. oh well. maybe i should've bought a razor scooter?"

Meower Power
"Say hello to my new kitten, Squirrel. I rescued him from a clinic, but then spent $100 on shots and vaccinations. Then I went to Petco and bought food, litter, litter box, and a cat nip toy! "
