  • New skates for roller derby!

"I bought myself new skates for roller derby! For the last year I've been loving life as a Rat City Rollergirl Sockit Wench. (pictured above in blue) www.ratcityrollergirls.com My first pair of skates were awful, they hurt my feet and were two sizes too big. I spent all but $1.98 of my stimulus check on a brand new pair of pretty white skates with shiny aluminum plates. Now that I have top of the line skates that fit appropriately, I can skate better, faster and kick a lot more butt! *Photo by Crash Zone Photography"

  • Groceries, investment, and strippers

"I spent my $600 rebate on store gift cards at Albertsons. They matched it with a 10% bonus, so I got $660 to put towards my grocery bills. Since that was money I was going to spend anyway, I also transferred $150 to my IRA, $150 to my Roth IRA, $150 to Prosper.com, and went to a strip club with the last $150. I still lost less money at the club that night than I did on the stock market that day (and 'Taylor' at least gave me good value for my money)."

(Notice the crumb in the upper eyelash from the mad-greek-cookie-gnawing that took place moments before this picture was snapped)Also, we bought evil eye charms (it's a greek thing), gas for the car, baby food, baby formula, baby diapers, baby wipes, and the remainder went towards paying off the dishwasher (that washes the baby bottles)."
