"I donated $100 to the Red Sox Foundation in hopes to win a 2007 World Series Ring and simultaneously help children of New England. I also put a down payment on a gallon of gas, there goes most of my check. The rest helped to pay for a trip to Florida so my son can see his other grandparents. If I do win the ring, I'll probably sell it to buy a gallon of gas or milk. I asked my mother and she says there is no uncle sam in our family..."

"Right after getting my stimulus check, all of a sudden my 7 year old BMW had some kind of anti-freeze problem in which I had to replace the entire coolant compartment which was cracked, totaling about $650 so that's what my check went for. As a bonus though, I caught a really good deal from Travelzoo and my boyfriend and I purchased a 5 day getaway at a 4 star resort in Puerto Rico, so I was happy in the end. That trip (airfare and hotel included) came out to about $505 per person. So either way, I was getting what I originally wanted with my stimulus which was a vacation! "

"Why waste it, especially when I like most of the world, has leveraged their current situation with debt. As a young, fabulous and broke according to Suze Orman, I spent it on a payment to a CC bill; changing my car title to the state of Texas; bills since they're relatively low in El Paso versus Scottsdale, AZ; rental car to see my dad while in San Fran; and postage for my book-swapping club.

The Stimulus
In January, Congress approved $152 billion in economic stimulus checks for millions of American households, intended to boost the economy and avert a recession. Just how this money will be spent remains to be seen. We hope this website helps shed some light on where the stimulus money is going.
