  • Gas to get to my Sister's Wedding

"A trip to my sister's wedding. We're packing up and taking a 2-week National Lampoon's Vacation-style trip across six states to be there in time for my sister's wedding. My entire check will be for gas for the trip, and I'll be blogging about it as well, to see just how much far my stimulus check will take me on this trip. stim4gas.blogspot.com"

  • Less Car Payments

"I used my money to get rid of my car that had high car payments and insurance and bought a car that will be paid off with cheaper insurance. Basically, trying to free up money in other areas because this little bit of money that we received still doesn't touch the plight we have been under for the last 8 years!!!"

  • I helped support a crooked system!

"Because of the total mismanagement of government and backdoor deals between politicians and the oil producing countries the US imports from, I spent my fabulous stimulus on gas just to get to work. Thanks, George, you ass!"

  • Stimulus not enough

"We recently moved across country so we could live in a cheaper area. NOT! All our stimulus check went to buy gas to get my husband to & from work, and groceries. With all the rising costs we still can't afford anything. It's costing us over $500 just to get my husband to work every month! And to think I thought that maybe I would pay down some debt and maybe by myself something fun. "

  • Paid For Someone Elses Gas Expenses!

"After my car was repossessed for not being able to pay both rent and car payment together. I still ending up having to move after barely completing my lease agreement for my apartment. So when I finally received the $300 I went down to T-mobile paid for my phone service to be restored. Gave my mother $40 and my sister $40, then bought some gas for someone else car to get back and forward to work for the rest of the week. And that ladies and gentlemen is how you spend $300 in a day! LLOL I hope that helped the economy, cause it sure didnt do much for me..but God Blesses anyway!"

  • Government has Something Wrong!

"$1,300 of my $1,500 check went to my husband's illegitimate child who doesn't even carry his last name! The remaining $200 helped buy much needed clothing for my three children and some prescription medications. Still leaves on living on Food Stamps and searching for jobs to help fuel our one car. GET THIS: A Stimulus check came to this house addressed to the person in the picture, who happens to be here illegally from Mexico. There are also people actually living in Mexico who with the help of a P.O. Box in Texas, receive Social Security Checks and have never worked a day in their lives in the United States. How does that happen?"

  • TRIED TO SAVE IT THEN LIFE HAPPENED

"I put the whole check into savings as I got my stimulus pretty early with direct deposit. Then literally two weeks later I lost my job and now I have used the whole thing :( paying my car note and insurance and that sustain me for this past month but I am still unemployed. I am glad I got it because otherwise I would now be two months behind."

  • Yeah Right

"When I received my stimulus payment via direct deposit it pretty much took my account out of a major negative balance...I would say I had about $250 left of $600. It helped, but with the rising cost of EVERYTHING, it makes life pretty rough for a single mom. The rest went to gas in my car/groceries. No fun spending for me."

  • A Hard Working Mom Trying To Make It

"My name is Kelly and I am a single mom of three kids and I work full time for a construction company. I got my check and it was not what it was suppose to be and I have yet to get an answer as to why. I was hoping that this check would help us get ahead with food and utlities but instead 865.54 went to fixing my truck the fly wheel went on it. Of course just my luck. So now it's just a matter of trying to keep my head above water. I just wish things would slow down on increasing becasue I see no end in sight."
