  • My Stimulus Went To GAS & BILLS.. THANKS ALOT.

"I paid my BILLS and bought GAS for my car with my stimulus check... Thanks a billion...NOT. Maybe next time I'll have enough left over for something FUN, considering the USA is at a war we have no business being in, and we could have just spent the war funding elsewhere. Like somewhere that it actually has a PURPOSE. F*** off George Bush. -Rob"

  • Summer Day camp took my money

"Paid for 2 weeks of summer day care camp for the 3 girls. With it being almost $500 a week for 3 kids. And the rest went to my gasoline bill for my car. Wish I could have spent it on me. "

  • The Inlaws

"Well, we had planned to put it torwards our first vacation to an all inclusive island getaway at the end of the summer, then gas prices went up and My wifes parents from France are coming out in August so the money will be to ensure we have gas to show them some sites around our beloved state of illinois. • Stayin cool in my car for the summer.......and Puerto Rico!

"Right after getting my stimulus check, all of a sudden my 7 year old BMW had some kind of anti-freeze problem in which I had to replace the entire coolant compartment which was cracked, totaling about $650 so that's what my check went for. As a bonus though, I caught a really good deal from Travelzoo and my boyfriend and I purchased a 5 day getaway at a 4 star resort in Puerto Rico, so I was happy in the end. That trip (airfare and hotel included) came out to about $505 per person. So either way, I was getting what I originally wanted with my stimulus which was a vacation! "

  • Bought a Crouch Rocket!

"I used my check as a down payment on a motorcycle! Ironiclly with my extra $100 a month payment, I will save money on gas rather then filling up my car at $50 every 5 days... "

  • Plan B

"A moving van to live with the in-laws in California. Since our baby was born we can no longer afford to live here. Rent and health care for the baby almost cover my entire paycheck. Hopefully the stimulus can cover at least half of the moving prices. We need to get out before our savings disappears! "

  • Vehicle repairs

"We spent our check on car repair. Don't you know the engine failed the week before our check came. So we stimulated an mechanic shop (which is fine). Our original plan was to finish paying off the car that we repaired... Still working on that."

  • Robbing Peter to Pay Paul

"We paid off some credit cards to have money to make car payments on two new-to-us gas-inefficient vehicles, thus perpetuating the debt cycle. I was very happy with the credit card pay-off, not so much with gaining car payments. But it beats getting stuck in the snow countless times this past winter and incurring major body-work to my former car. (Oh, and a little bit paid for the load of gravel to create a parking area so our cars don't end up in snowbanks for much of the winter.)"

  • It's all Greek to me!

"We used our stimulus check to buy some greek cookies from the recent Greek Festival in Winston-Salem, NC. (Notice the crumb in the upper eyelash from the mad-greek-cookie-gnawing that took place moments before this picture was snapped)Also, we bought evil eye charms (it's a greek thing), gas for the car, baby food, baby formula, baby diapers, baby wipes, and the remainder went towards paying off the dishwasher (that washes the baby bottles)."

  • "I lost my job a month before I (finally) got my check. About a week later I brought home these two little guys because I needed something positive in my life. The check itself is still laying on my desk because I'm trying to decide what bill I can afford to pay this month: my car insurance, my car payment, or my rent. I'd rather trade the $300 check for a better economy so I can find a job."

  • Gas, $300, Rent, don't ask. Working at NASA? Priceless.

"OK, I didn't buy the Space Shuttle. But I did buy gas, which got me from Colorado to Florida so I can do a summer internship at Kennedy Space Center. Now if only that paid a little more, I could break even on this deal, but as a credit card commercial would say, the experience is *priceless*. "
