Something fun and then there's debt
"I bought a pretty dress and pretty shoes to wear to my friend's wedding. The rest went to paying off credit card debt. In 4 more months I should be credit card debt free!"

Help others by helping yourself
"Bought a motorcycle from a friend of mine. I will be driving to and from work (36 miles one way) to save gas. My friend will use the money for closing costs. Also paid some utilies, bought groceries and gas and took the family out to eat a couple times."

Was it wisely spent? Nope, that's my vote.
"It will help purchasing merchandise for my new internet based business opening in August:: www.ClayBourg.com This said, I think it should have been only distributed to the working poor and for sure it would have ended up back into the economy right away. "

They get you coming or going
"Well, we recently moved to Oregon but my husband works remotely for another state. So we were able to pay PART of our Oregon income tax, they take a huge amount out of your check every month and it sucks. "They" get you coming and going. "

Rent
"I actually didn't purchase anything, or had the opportunity to do so. I was in St. Croix, U. S. Virgin Islands for my brother's funeral and we spent a great deal of money so when I saw the $600 added to my bank account I was a little relieved. Only to remember that I had written a check of $750 to my landlord before I left New York City. So +600 and -750 was displayed on my account summary the same day. "

"I thought we had just renewed our zoo pass and bought a new golf club for my hubby, but when we got our credit card statement for $1800 more than it was supposed to be, I guess that meant we spent it all!"

A Bassett for our Basset
"We purchased a new couch when we bought our new home last August. The couch was put on a "no 12 month interest" plan from Bassett Furniture. With our $900, and an unexpected escrow refund check, we have now paid for our basset's Bassett couch. Libby loves it."
