  • Our House is now a Home!

"Two little ladies knocked at our door and decided to give birth to 9 kittens. A cat lady by nature you know what happened next. You fall in love and well you end up with 9 kids running about. So yea my money went to the kids. Can't have any claws, balls, and uteruses flying about. Thank God the vet gives discounts! Woo-Hoo! And I did by a pretty little sundress for myself. Which they love to all hang from."

  • Unhappy

"I was planning on paying my house taxes which was exactly $1,200.00 my husband and I was to receive. But since my husband started his own business in Aug 2007 and owed taxes, the IRS kept our stimulus check. So much for getting that extra money. I know alot of other people they did the same thing to them. I thought this check was for personal use WE WERE WRONG!!!!"

  • Saving for a rainy day

"I put my money in savings. I'm in grad school and every little bit helps! Besides which, our country's problem isn't that there's too little spending, it's that there is not enough saving. Be the change you want to see in the world!"

  • I helped support a crooked system!

"Because of the total mismanagement of government and backdoor deals between politicians and the oil producing countries the US imports from, I spent my fabulous stimulus on gas just to get to work. Thanks, George, you ass!"

  • I smell good is Disneyland with less debt

"I did three things with my stimulus check. First of all, I finally bought the Betsey Johnson perfume I've been wanting for 6 months or so ($40), I bought my plane ticket to Anaheim so I could go to Disneyland ($160), and I used the rest ($400) to pay off the debt I owe to my parents for a trip to Europe I took last summer."

  • THIS WAS NOT ENOUGH

"I spent my money on catching up on bills, such as rent, gas, groceries, and utilities. I got $600, $300 for me and $300 for my child and I'm sorry but if they wanted people to use this money for luxury reasons, I feel they should have given a lot more due to the economy. The way things are going it really doesn't make sense that everything is rising in cost from gas to house prices but people are constantly getting laid off or their paychecks are not going up. The way things are going in order for a single person to have a decent living you MUST have two jobs. As you can see in the pic I'm at work, thats all I can do is work, due to everything being so high and jobs are not paying thats the only way I can provide for my child. It would have been nice if they sent enough for people like me that work 40 or more hours a week to be able to go on a vacation and use time that I can't take cause I don't have the money. I really hope next time the government really take a look at the way things are and have more consideraton on people that work everyday but because of high costs on everything we are just barely getting by."
