My Ominous Friends
"Mine is going to pay the portion on my credit card that was charged to my vet for the basic annual check-ups plus shots for my two cats. And they're HEALTHY! My bill is due so I sure wish they'd go ahead and stimulate me already!"

"A lot of it went towards my rent, but I made sure to put a hundred towards my trip to Wincon in Baltimore in October. Granted, I may end up having to use that for bills as well when I lose my job next month, but for now, Wincon ho! (This picture is from the ride down on my first trip to Wincon. Here's hoping I can still go this year!)"

The gift that keeps giving
"I took my $600 and lent it to Kiva, splitting it between four individuals. Patricia (above) is one of the recipients. She's entering the taro farming business in Samoa and will use the money to purchase weed killer, pesticides, tools, seeds and fertilizer. The best part is that once the loans are paid back I can reinvest the money and it will keep giving and giving."

Poor PeeWee
"A few weeks ago, our new puppy PeeWee jumped off our bed and broke his paw on the side of the dresser. Poor thing, only 8 weeks old! They made him a little cast at the vet, and I'm happy to say he is recovering just fine. We're glad to have a little extra money to apply toward this unexpected event. "
