Uncle Sam giveth and taketh away!
"I spent ours paying uncle sam back, cause our move to CO, was more than allowed and then they messed up on my health benefits for 5 months and then charged me $994.00 and they said if I didn't pay it back quickly they would garnish my check at 4% interest. "

I Paid My Rebate to the IRS
"I just received a bill from the IRS to payback the little bit of money I got when I was homeless, which I am doing. I didnt think I owed the money, but I didnt want to be homeless again so I had to agree. Obviously, the rebate was taken for that debt. I thought I heard someone even mention that when my bill to the IRS was calculated, the amount owed was raised slightly to compensate, so in the end my rebate may not have counted for anything, or at least not for its full value. Thanks for the money, dude.
"My wife and I used some of our frequent flyer miles and booked a rt flight to Canada. We will take our $1200 and use it in the Canadian Rockies. Too bad the US dollar is soooo weak. We will have to spend the entire wad, and then some. Guess this won't be helping out the US economy, Bush! Oh, well. Another idea of yours gone to pots, lol."
