Yay no 19% interest anymore!
"We paid off the cash advance portion of my credit card bill, which we had used for closing costs on our house, due to stupid bank regulations which froze our REAL money for 5 days before we could use it! And the fact that the costs were higher than we'd been told, so there was a little balance left... "

"Did a few things, first went skydiving for the very first time, you gotta do it. It was one of the most memorable things Ive ever done. Jump cost 150.00. Spent the rest on past dental bills, and to get a new sectional sofa."

Clothes, Underwear, Energy, and Gambling!
"I spent my payment on summer clothes for my two boys.(ages 3&4) then i got me some new underwear. bought enough energy drinks to last a month. then with the remaning $500.00 i plan to go play the card machines in ontario,or. you know they do not have card machines in the bars or resturants here in boise/meridian? that is a bummer, cause now i have to fill up the tank to drive 80 miles round trip, thre goes $30 of my gambling money. i hope everyone else has fun with there money!!"

One night in Dubai
"One night in Dubai. My way of protesting these ineffective “stimulus” packages that do little more than increase the budget deficit, inflation, and depreciation of the dollar. Makes the politicians look good though."

"I'm studying for my masters in environmental policy at American University and am using my rebate to help pay my student loans. Given how anti-environment our current administration is, I love the idea of this money being used to help further my career in this field."

When the economy is down, charities are hit the hardest
"Well, first it went to pay down my credit card balance, which I intend to keep down, but I also set up small monthly donations to the following charities and campaigns so it will add up to $600 over the next 6 to 12 months. I opted to stay local (Austin, TX), so
$10 a month to the Capital Area Food Bank
$10 a month to Mobile Loaves and Fishes HOW program for the homeless
$10 a month to Capital Area Planned Parenthood
$10 a month to Capital Area Mental Health Center
$20 for the next 6 months to Texas' next senator - RICK NORIEGA!"

Fighting Taxation w/o Representation
"So far $100 to Nature Conservancy and $100 to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Remainder will go 4 conservation charities. Since Bush is contemptuous of environmental & ethical issues, this is my small way of using govt $ to serve these issues in spite of him."
