"We received our $1,800.00 stimulus check and deposited it in savings. This money will be put in our sons' college accounts. I'll take this check, but must question the wisdom of this governmental action as it faces record deficits. If reasonable, hard working people still can't make ends meet, maybe this check can help out the truly deserving."

I WANT A PONY!
"I've wanted my own horse for as long as I can remember. I promised myself a few years ago that whatever I had to do to make it happen before I turned 30, I would do it. The "PonyMunny" savings account has been steadily growing and my $600 was directly deposited into that account. I'm waiting until July to make the big purchase. The 600 will go either to the horse itself or to the long list of "stuff" I'll need! Photo is of a wonderful pony, Debonair, that I helped to train. If he was a hand and a half taller HE would be my purchase!"

"I bought a Mulberry Rosemary, made in Spain by a company in the U.K. Luckily, the lady I bought it from lives in Texas, so I hope it stimulated her economy!!! Thanks, George! You numbskull!"

"Our big purchase was an HDD camcorder to capture the development of our baby girl, Liliana. After much searching I finally found a coupon to save a little bit at Circuit City and pulled the trigger. The rest of the check? Probably little things like a trip to Costco, stuff for the baby, and maybe split the rest 50/50 with the wife."

Paying off the cards, Priceless
"It doesn't matter what Mr. Bush says, I can't justify buying new crap when I still have to pay off the old crap."

This Economy is for the Dogs
"We decided to adopt a pug puppy named Ralph. The stimulus check should cover the adoption fee, vet visits, shots, heartworm pills, toys, obedience school, neutering....and the cost of dry cleaning the down comforter he decided to pee on the other morning! My sister suggested I name the dog George after the prez...but I couldn't do that to this little face!"

Government funding for the arts
"I'm donating a portion of this unexpected income to my two favorite non-profits: PlayWrite, Inc. (www.playwriteinc.org) and Write Around Portland (www.writearound.org) The rest is going into my pay-the-rent fund."

Where's Mine?
"What son of a Bush should have done was give some money to all the starving college students. Trust me, we know how to spend money! Like these fly outfits we bought for the Kanye West concert. "
