Catching Up On Bills
"Being a recent widow I did the only thing I could do, tried to catch up on the bills I was left when my husband passed away. I don't really remember what I specifically spent it on, I just know it didn't go near far enough. "

Frustrated with BGE increase!
"I live in Baltimore, Maryland where our gas & electric company has gone up 65% in the past year. I am a single parent and due to the increase have been behind on my bill. My entire stimulus check went to my gas & electric bill. I got absolutely no pleasure out of it. Ugh!"

Dead Fuel Efficient Car
"Thanks to price of gas, bought a '91 Geo Metro Convertible that normally gets 40+ mpg. After buying the car on Craigslist, then driving the car 2 hours to get home, it died at a stop sign in our subdivision. Had car towed, now buying a refurbished engine. We are really helping stimulate St. Louis area with the cost of this very fuel efficient non-working car!"

Our Dogs Thank You!
"Our stimulus payment offset the cost of our dogs' annual check-up, shots and one month of dog food. Try lowering the gas prices, taxes and energy costs so we can take our children somewhere further than an hour away from home for vacation!"

People are starving
"Well, considering everything in this world wet up in the past year- I spent it on food, and gas. What i don't understand, is how the cost of living is rising, but we all still get paid the same. 60% of houses bought in sacramento, ca last year went into foreclosure. People are losing everything. no one has any money. I can't find a job. And i have the most generic occupation. Half of everyone I know got laid off, because there is no funding. What are people going to do?"

Walking tall
"My daughter was born with club foot. She had her first surgery at three weeks old. Now at eight she was in need of another heel cord clipping and a tendon trasnfer. Yes, we have insurance but they don't pay for much. Not to mention the doctor visits every two weeks until everything heels. We were so relieved when our check came in it helped pay for the deductable and the gas for taveling to and from the hospital and clinic. (We live 30 miles away from where the hospital is.) I'm really glad the government gave us a little bit of releaf."

Struggling Single Parents
"I am a single mom of 4, no child support at all. I spent my stimuless (ha). On my kids. Food and unlforms for school. There is no way that this is really going to halp anyone with the way that things are today. I don't even drive my car anymore, I can't afford gas. Public transportation is even worse, it is crazy. People in my situation are sure to drown sooner than later. "
