  • Autism Rally!

"I chose to save half of the money and to spend the other half on a trip to DC for my son and I for the "Green our Vaccine" Rally! We definately stimulated someones wallet while there! The experience was worth every penny! With or without the check, we would have been there. Uncle Sam just allowed us to make it more comfortable! "

  • A new crown and I don't mean for my head!

"Well at first I was gonna put it in the bank to keep saving for a house. But then I went to the dentist and now I need to replace an old gold cap on one of my molars with a new porcelain one. :-( So thanks President Bush for supplementing my dental coverage. Maybe my dentist can use the $$ to buy some toothpaste. Somehow I doubt that. On the bright side, maybe I can get some $$ for the old gold crown. It's a big one. OBAMA 2008! "

  • The technology family

"My Mom (middle) and my Aunt both got new laptops with their stimulus checks from the IRS, and I was showing them some of the "ins & outs" of Windows Vista. Here we sit at the kitchen table of my Mom's house in Downers Grove, Illinois. Mother's Day, May 11th, 2008."

  • Last gift from my Ex-husband

"1/2 the money I spent (my soon-to-be ex husbands 1/2!) on some "divorce gifts" for myself: new gas grill, new dining room set, cordless drill, tent, jewelry. The other 1/2 (my portion) I'm saving, probably to get new brakes on my car next when I get it inspected. Thanks Uncle Sam (& my ex)."

  • "I wish I could have gotten a Wii for our family but that didn't happen. I payed off a bill for a bed that I had bought for someone else. A major part of the rest went to bills... (I.E. Electric, cable, Car Insurance.) My wife used some to help someone else out on one of her friends bills. Some went to gas and groceries. A friend of ours never had a new bick so we bought her one along with a few other random things. Then it was gone in a week... So aside from bills I think I only stimulated about $200 out of our $1200."

  • Thank you Uncle Sam

"Uncle Sam bought diapers, outfits, food, prepaid college fund for a month, gasoline, paid down credit cards, paid for car insurance, and a nice dinner out. "

  • bills.. blah... :(

"I was hoping to take my daughters to the beach with the stimulus check... unfortunately.. I had a shut off notice for electric, and there were other bills pending.. many past due.. grocery shopping to be done..Just 'stuff' for the household.. and that's pretty much where mine went. :( it's gone... just like that...... I hate BILLS. *The pic I have shown here.. is when we were on a mini vacation to Rhode Island... last year.. when gas was much cheaper.. and I had a bit more money..:o"

  • Stretch your dollar in Mexico!

"My wife and I travelled to Mexico for a wonderful vacation in Mazatlan and up the copper canyon. It was good to see and learn more about their culture, and seemed only appropriate that we spent our money in Mexico after the way our country and George Bush has treated them. It is a poor country with high unemployment. But we did see a lot of smiling faces and were treated quite nice. These are our neighbors where some of our products are manufactured. It seems appropriate that we help them with the infrastructure of the country and stop spending so much money on a silly wall, and instead make their homes and cities more desireable to stay in. We do have a lot to learn from the Mexico Culture. "

  • Starting happy endings

"I spent my Stimulus check to pay for the deposit on our wedding venue. I did this because I hadn't told my parents we were getting married and his parents do too much for us."
