George Bush bought me Prada & iPhone
"I had been wanting a new pair of sunglasses for a while now, as my previous pair of Prada were a little scratched. I walked into Sunglass Hut the other day and fell in love with these $330 pair. My other $300 will be spent on the iPhone 3G."

The Stimulus
In January, Congress approved $152 billion in economic stimulus checks for millions of American households, intended to boost the economy and avert a recession. Just how this money will be spent remains to be seen. We hope this website helps shed some light on where the stimulus money is going.

At least you got something that you wanted. I got a bill saying I owed them money. Yes, I knew it already. Forgot to pay a quarterly tax.

I used 2/3 of it to pay for the increase for my hotel in Europe, and the rest to buy Czech beer in the bar I like. If I didn't get my stimulus check, I was gonna cancel my trip.

Creepy and awesome.

$330 sunglasses? the human race really is doomed
Posted by: + Jun 12th, 16:38
Oh get over it. He looks fabulous. I just bought a pair of Cartier sunglasses for $1300.

$1300 sunglasses! I don't want to sail on this ship of fools.
... I suspect you could easily find a $50 pair of sunglasses that would be indistinguishable from the $300 or $1300 pair. Me, I'll stick with my $8 pair and save the stimulus check for when the government is going to want it back.

I used all $900 to buy drugs. I bought enough methamphetamines to keep me going for a week. iiiiiiyyyeeeeee!!

Well, Skeptictank, I'm glad you're happy with your $8 pair of glasses. Mine were custom-made for the shape of my face and custom-tinted for my skin tone. What little bit of metal that makes up the frames is solid white gold, so as an investment in precious metal they will always hold their value and are an insurable asset. Plus, they carry a lifetime guarantee against damage. By the way, I didn't use my stimulus check to buy them -- I didn't qualify for one.

TVWriter-- who the hell wants to spend time getting a pair of sunglasses insured? That's one hell of a deductible for a pair of glasses.
Besides, most of us misplace a pair here and there. With your way of thinking, I'd be out at least $2,600 every year. "Custom-made" and "custom-tited?" Give me a break. Take a few minutes to stop being so vain and look what others do with their excess cash-- donate it to people who can't even afford food.

Well, "Whatever", it took exactly ZERO time to "insure" my glasses. And luckily, I'm not like "most of us" who misplace "a pair here and there". And by the way, I donate plenty. Since you brought it up, last year my charitable donations were more than the average U.S. household income. How much did YOU donate?
Posted by: TVWriter Jun 22nd, 12:24
What TVWriter is really trying to say is that he's rich. Man, he didn't even qualify for a stimulus check! And he donated MORE than the average U.S household income last year!
Bet you have a small dick though.

If you're so interested, why don't you come on over and find out?
Posted by: TVWriter Jun 22nd, 21:38
You all are fools for spending that much on sunglasses. Even if youre a billionaire, there are so many better uses. Chemical Romance- I'm with you. I'm still high from last week!!

Well, I'm the one in the best position to decide how to spend MY money. And as I explained before, in my case, it's actually an INVESTMENT, rather than an expenditure.
Posted by: TVWriter Jul 4th, 09:07
Even if you see it as an investment, you're still a jackass.
