• IN THE BANK

"I will never spend that $600...just to spite George Bush, this was not a proper use of taxpayer money...most people bought cigarettes and alcohol...I will die with this $600 in my savings account."

  • Your $600 saved in the bank will be levered-up at least 10 times at your local bank... ultimately it will become loans for other people to buy cars/houses or to start a small business... which will keep the wheels of the economy rolling. Thank you! Sorry to burst your bubble (and I agree with you in principle), but one of the "biggest bangs" for George Bush's rebate checks is saving it in a bank. The smallest bang would have been burrying it in your backyard.

  • I also saved my money, but since I knew that if I put it in the bank the bank would lever it up 10x, I decided to stick it in VMPXX which is a short term US treasury bill mutual fund.

  • "most people bought cigarettes and alcohol". Is it your money they spent. Noooo, your money is in the bank remember...your going to die with it...as long as they did not take your money what do you care what other people spent their money on. What a pompous (can't say the word that goes here).

  • Give the money back to Uncle Sam, with interest

    Buy Savings Bonds!

I guarantee you Uncle George, I mean Sam, will spend it faster than a crack whore.
