It Was *Supposed* to be for Vacation
"I'm paying to have my car repaired after I somehow got it straddled over this curb. What the heck is a control arm, anyway? I may have enough left over for half a tank of gas or so."

Have you ever seen a curb? Seriously, you shouldn't be getting a check, you should be getting dumb@$$ tax after rolling your car up there.
Have you heard of a control arm? More like, have you heard of driving a straight line? Idiot.

Really? You actually took your time to write that? Why would you call someone you don't know an idiot? I take it you've never made a mistake? The curb is very poorly designed - it starts less than a foot from where my car is, halfway up the ramp. I did drive a straight line - it's just that that line meant one tire was on the other side of the curb. Oops.
Maybe you should get therapy with your check? Anger management? Pack o' chill pills?

Yup, it's easy to miss that double-hight, painted-yellow curb. <rolls eyes>

Actually I've done the same thing but not in the same way - I was backing out of a weird parking space and somehow wedged my car up on one of these things sideways. I don't know how in the world you did this, just trying to drive over it??? Anywho - no insurance I presume? I think the repair to my vehicle would've been close to $2K but with insurance only had to pay the deductible...
