What time is it? Tooth-hurty.
"Wisdom teeth. I get to pay someone to inflict pain on me just because I have funny teeth. Oh well. But thanks, Dubya, your money is covering the 20% of the bill that my dental plan doesn't. The rest of the money is going towards a pimped out blender that's going to keep me from starving after the procedure."

I think spending your money on getting your wisdom teeth taken care of is one of the wisest choices I've heard. Me? I went to Florida.

Haha, oh man, can't I just go to Florida and pay some drunk college kid to punch my teeth out while I'm there?

That looks so painful. I'm SO glad I was born without any.

Ouch. I had four of those. If they aren't going to put you under, I recommend something stronger than Valium or a hefty dose of it. I remembered a lot more of that procedure than I was told I would.

Dear Lord, that looks awful! Hope the procedure isn't too painful for you!!!

I had that done a little over ten years ago. I had all four removed. The best advice I can give? Have them give you the gas first.
Best of luck!

Oh yeah, and I had it done in Florida - but not by a drunk kid. Does that still count? (although I have lived in FL my whole life...)

Had that done, but only to the bottom ones. They used general anesthesia on me and I never knew it happened.

I had my wisdom teeth cut out while I slept, it wasn't bad at all, not even painful afterwards. My face was swollen a bit, but no pain. good luck

Holy shit...my stimulus check went to dental work too!
Hoorayyyy!

Good choice. I had to pay for mine out of pocket...almost $1000. Yikes. Yeah, if you haven't had it done yet, then definitely get some gas and an IV and anything they will give you along with a little OXY to help you sleep afterwards.

Good choice. I had to mortgage my house (which isn't worth that much, mind you) for my dental work ($2,000).

Dear Amy C, Most dental plans only give you up to $1K a year in treatments. Its the nature of dental and vision insurance. Some folks I know only sign up for dental/vision insurance every other year to save money.

Had all four removed about 21 years ago. Make sure they put you completely out, enjoy the subsequent two day buzz. You've probably already had it done, but if not...Don't get drunk the night before, follow post op advice i.e. clean the sockets so they don't get infected, and try not to read the fine print of what could happen during the procedure. They had to split all four of miine down the middle and cut them out, "full boney impacted"-Good Luck
