  • Flee to Canada and tell Bush an oil well up his #@#@@#@.

  • Don't blame us, blame your fiance, he's the one who volunteered for it.

Posted by: Todd the Bod May 13th, 01:23

  • "Todd the Bod"
She is blaming Bush, not the American public. Why don't you try a little reading comprehension before you jump to conclusions?

Posted by: Matt May 13th, 04:01

  • I'm pretty sure that before you sign the dotted line, there is a disclaimer saying you might get shipped off to defend our country....this is the United States military, not the boy scouts.

Posted by: Melissa May 13th, 13:41

  • Well said, Melissa. Nobody FORCED him (or me) to enlist.

Caity, I understand you're upset- I've been there. But seriously, do some homework before you rant like that, and don't just parrot liberal crap about oil, ok? We live in a post 9/11 world, sad to say.

  • well you cant help who you love, I'm an army wife, pretty liberal minded, and prior service military. I feel for you, btdt myself 3 times! With that said a lot of people should be happy that people volunteer for the military because if noone did then they would just draft a bunch of sorry asses to fight wars for the dirty polititians anyway. Military service is mandatory in some countries, some people should be happy that isnt the case here. you have right to bitch about it...this war is sorry.

  • Your boyfriend is a hero and desirves someone better.

If we wanted the oil why diden't just end the embargo?
your comments display a huge lack of understanding and no intelectual effort on your part to follow the events and understand history.

But I see that you are quite able to be led by the nose by the so called media. You seem to have paid attention to some bumber sticker slogans but the issues are much bigger.

Yor husband is braveley serving his country and protecting your right to whine. Every day he is surrounded by brave American patriots who volunteered their service and you trivialize them and those who we have lost by suggesting that "Bush is sending them off to die".

I just hope he (and the others) can put you out of their minds as they travel into harms way. Imagine being in their shoes under fire, killing other humans while trying to stay alive and protecting their brothers lives more than their own and your voice is ther clacking in the back of his head "Bush is sending us to die" working to distroy his resolve, sapping his attention in a situation like this.

I think if you really love him you would support the decision he made freeley. Tell him that he is a hero in the ranks of American heros that gave birth to America, ended slavery, fought, and won to world wars that saved humanity, liberated millions of oppressed people, and continues to this day to defend those who cant defend them selves.

So tell him that your proud of him for being a member of th best volunteer army that has ever stood. Most educated, best trained, most compashionate men and women that has ever fought for their country.

He will leave you for his brothes with a clear sense of pourpose and his mind sharp for the task at hand.

Other wise leave him he deservse better than you.

  • Excuse me, but your fiance enlisted in the military.

    Nobody made him do that.

What did he think he was signing up for?

I'm not even going to get into it with you and try to 'splain the oil wells. You are obviously extremely uninformed.

I agree - he deserves much better.

He enlisted to fight for our country and he has you to back him? Sad - very sad.

Did you miss that little news clip on 9-11? There are lots of reasons we are there - none of them have a thing to do with oil.

  • "Did you miss that little news clip on 9-11?"

Zelda, we are not in Iraq for our national security or anything related to 9/11. We're there because .... well, who knows?

  • Word of advice to the fine soldier: run. I know you may be infatuated, but there are plenty of women out there who will support your efforts and hard work. And anyone who is harping, whining, and deflecting blame for this to anyone else other then responsible party is going to make you a miserable person when she is your wife and the mother of your children and whines, harps, and deflects blame when her life is "overwhelmed" by grown up responsibilities.

You do, indeed, deserve better. Don't make the same mistake a lot of other young men have made because their heart went pitter patter at the first pretty girl that would give them the time of day. Do your time overseas and when you come back with a new purpose and with more maturity, choose the woman you'll spend your life with then.

Godspeed, sir! Your service is respected and admired.

  • Caity, do you know what your car runs on? Answer: Gas.
Second question: Where does gas come from?

  • Caity,
Have you had time to think about whose oil wells. Good answer. Your oil wells.

Posted by: pat Jun 5th, 10:41

  • Your BF joined the military. The Congress authorized the war so there is more then one guy to blame. GROW UP

  • We are in Iraq to stop oil production so the price rises artificially and raises profits worldwide for oil barons, of which bush and his Saudi lovers are a part of.

Posted by: Brandon Jun 15th, 15:36

  • We are in Iraq because Little Bush wanted to finish what Big bush didnt. Plain and simple. Oil, stop terrorism, spread democracy is all secondary. Hah, Democracy, the only country in the world where Popular vote does not elect the president.. Kinda makes you wonder.

  • 9/11 Osama Bin Laden. Hate to disappoint everyone out there. Iraq is about a President who wanted to avenge his fathers attempted assination by Saddam Hussein. Afghanistan is what needs to be focused on. Where the culprits of 9/11 are. I pray for our troops everyday that fight for our Freedom. Iraq is a Religious War. Anybody watch 60 Minutes as a Man of the Cloth is watching Christians being slaughtered in Iraq. By Islamic Militants. This is a Religious War. Bush had NO BUSINESS GOING INTO IRAQ. UNDER THE PRETENSE OF WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. OUR TROOPS ARE DYING OVER THERE. WHAT ARE THEY DYING FOR? I HAVE A NEICE WHO DID 3 TOURS IN IRAQ. SHE HAD NO IDEA WHY SHE WAS THERE. AND YET SHE WATCHED HER FRIENDS DIE. SO TELL ME AMERICA WHY ARE WE THERE? WHY IS NOT MORE ATTENTION PAID TO AFGHANISTAN WHERE BIN LADEN IS? UNTIL YOU CAN ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS, DON'T TALK TRASH. NO WHAT U R TALKING ABOUT.
