"Say hello to my new kitten, Squirrel. I rescued him from a clinic, but then spent $100 on shots and vaccinations. Then I went to Petco and bought food, litter, litter box, and a cat nip toy! "

The Stimulus
In January, Congress approved $152 billion in economic stimulus checks for millions of American households, intended to boost the economy and avert a recession. Just how this money will be spent remains to be seen. We hope this website helps shed some light on where the stimulus money is going.

Squirrel is so adorable. I agree this is the best use of the money yet. You not only have a wonderful little kitten, but you did a good deed by giving another needy animal a home. Well done.

The nice thing to note about this post is that it demonstrates that an animal is an financial investment as well as an emotional investment.
When you adopt an animal you are also adopting the food, care and vet bills. Too many people forget to put their new adopted buddies in thier budget and then have regrets when the vet bill comes!
Good for you!

Yay! Another happy rescue story and best use of the check I've seen on this site. Everyone else is bitching about how it's not enough, how it went to unfun things like medical bills, yada, yada. Squirrel is the cutest little fluff ball and one lucky feline! Best wishes to you both!
