Long gone!
"We filled our oil tank to the tune of $910. Figuring prices will be higher come fall. The remaining and most of our savings into our truck with new tires, alignment and parts. The front end did not survive the harsh winter driving in New England this year and the rust from the salted roads is starting to eat away at the underside. It had finally passed inspection after spending $1900, over a $100 more than the stimulus payments that went out.
Food costs were $800 a month prior to gas going up. Now $920 a month for the same foods as before.
Since my job is dependent upon NH for any cost of living/raises , it is unlikely there will be anything this fall. So we have to downsize our lives to accommodate the rising costs. With a teen driver this fall, we are beginning to worry about ends meeting."
