"As one of the wretched masses yearning to be oppressed, I did NOT qualify for this one time handout. Uncle Sam has wisely chosen to preclude those of my cohort from getting a single penny. Lord knows the folly of giving money to those who need it most !It does make one wonder, is even a cent going to the Katrina victims ?"

  • Over $114 billion has been spent on Katrina victims. At what point do you quit trowing money at a problem?

  • You wrote your name wrong. It should be either Fick Dich for informal "you" or Ficken Sie for "y'all" or formal "you". See, I'm not really sure what you're trying to say with your name: are you talking to me because I got a stimulus and you didn't, are you talking to all of us out here who got stimuli, or are you talking to the Government who didn't stimulate you?

  • I am telling you nothing. Those making $60k will get a $1,200 rebate. I shall get zero. Which of the two dedcribed is more likely to take up arms in insurrection ? Surely it is not the foppish buffoon deciding upon which LCD TV to buy.

  • Get a job. I need the money! I am a poor lazy man that will not get off my butt and work for a living.

Life is not fair. It is your fault I am a loser.

    Give me a break!

  • I am conflicted as to what size LCD to get and if spending more for 120hz is worthwhile???

BTW, where is the outcry from the victims in the mid-west currently dealing with the floods???

  • Contrary to the prevailing philosophy on this site, these checks are not "handouts" nor are they charity checks. They are STIMULUS checks. Their intent is not to help people "who really need it", but to STIMULATE the ECONOMY. Putting these checks into the hands of the people "who really need" them was a bad idea in the first place; paying bills and buying necessities will do nothing to stimulate the economy. On the contrary, these checks should have gone to the people who DON'T need them: debt-free, who will make durable retail purchases with them.

That is, IF this is all really about "stimulating" the economy.
