What does ENOUGH really mean?
"I have enough of everything - I donated my refund to Meals on Wheels. I couldn't help thinking how much we could change the world if even half these rebates were donated. Think about it."

The Stimulus
In January, Congress approved $152 billion in economic stimulus checks for millions of American households, intended to boost the economy and avert a recession. Just how this money will be spent remains to be seen. We hope this website helps shed some light on where the stimulus money is going.

Waste Not, Want Not
You will never want any more then you have today. It seems as though you have found the answer to what really separates Life As A Gift from a Life In Searching Of Happiness.

Or, imagine a world where your government might have spent the money taking care of the collective needs of the less well off in the first place, and didn't have to hand it over to you so that it could be given to charity...

Good move. Actually, I did think of that as I pondered what to do with this boondoggle. At one point I considered starting a movement to refuse the check. I figured if enough people refused to spend their children's future perhaps it would send a message. People laughed. Sigh. It's been heartening to see how many people found ways to reach their own goals AND send a message.

after getting chills (in a bad way) from reading multiple posts about people buying guns, your post gave me chills (in a good way).

Yes, Ruth. I like you have chosen to donate my rebate, and I also launched a campaign to inspire other Americans to do the same. We are called 08DONATE. Our mission is to stimulate a conversation about giving back, not giving up. Our campaign is a hopeful and active community approach to the issues that face us all. Please go to 08Donate.com to learn more.Let's spread the giving idea!
If even 1% of the overall $152 Billion rebate gets donated that’s 1.5 BILLION dollars. Imagine the good that can do in the hands of worthy non-profits that are protecting the planet, educating children, eradicating disease, accelerating peace and supporting other worthy causes.
