STIMULATE MY A$$
"I bought 41 copies of 'The Revolution: A Manifesto' by Ron Paul. We need a man with sound monetary policies in office to prevent things such as this "stimulus check" from happening again; stimulate my ass!"

The Stimulus
In January, Congress approved $152 billion in economic stimulus checks for millions of American households, intended to boost the economy and avert a recession. Just how this money will be spent remains to be seen. We hope this website helps shed some light on where the stimulus money is going.

Wow, I might do this too. I'll have to actually read it first however, before sending it off to everyone I know.
Posted by: Bob May 6th, 08:15
Right on. I thought about doing this and giving it to everyone in my office. A drop in the pond still makes ripples :)
Posted by: JayZ May 6th, 09:11
Right on! But don'y forget to get copies of "Don't Start the Revolution Without Me - Jesse Ventura" and Superclass: The Global Power Elite and the World They Are Making - David Rothkopf
Posted by: Matt May 6th, 11:18
..read the book, it's well worth your stimulus check.
Re: Jesse's book, et al.
The French revolution failed because they knew only what they didn't want, and nothing of what was good and right (liberty). It ended in chaos and tyranny with Napoleon.
The American revolution succeeded because they stood for liberty first, and against the King as a consequence.
Leave Jesse at the bookstore; these days his thinking is more French than American.

Throw them on e-bay and sell them for one cent plus shipping. Donate a few to the local library system.

Awesome idea! Viva la rEVOLution!

Why would Ron Paul be against a stimulus plan? If anything, he'd probably want to reduce taxes by that much permanently along with massive spending cuts.
Posted by: mgroves May 6th, 14:46
I bet you feel special don't you? Good job wasting money that could have otherwise been spent on a charity or shelter...you know, where it really helps. Instead, you spent it on some old hack who opposes a woman's right to choose to an abortion, believes intelligent design should be taught in public schools, and has impractical policies.
Posted by: AJ May 6th, 15:08
AJ:
I am sure you don't have a clue about Ron Paul. It's Tom's money - you dig? Freedom to decide where to spend the money that is wasted every day by Uncle Sam.
Posted by: Morrissey May 6th, 15:51
Hah, what an awesome idea! Imagine if all Ron Paul supporters did the same thing. The revolution would be in full swing by June 1st.
Posted by: Phil May 6th, 15:56
this is amazing. you totally gave me goosebumps. glad to other supporters.
now i remember why i care.
still waiting for my check...

Spend $$$ on 41 copies of the same book?? How 'bout helping the needy or feeding those without food? ...on a book...
Posted by: Super Duper May 6th, 18:07
Pong,
Ron Paul is against a stimulus that either a) is borrowed from China, or b) is due to the Federal Reserve buying bonds with counterfeit money
Posted by: edward May 6th, 20:12
@ #Lindsey
"Spend $$$ on 41 copies of the same book?? How 'bout helping the needy or feeding those without food? ...on a book..."
Because Lindsey, those 41 people who read the book & wake up - will then spread the message. There is a multiplying effect.
With Ron Paul in the white house, the whole damn nation will NOT go hungry... there's a damn depression coming, thats why its better spent on waking people up... than on FOOD, that is gone in a few minutes.
Knowledge is PRICELESS.

We are all needy for freedom.
We are all going to be jobless soon if we continue to live above our means. Ron Paul shows us the path to true peace, prosperity and freedom. It would be wise for everyone to listen, whether rich or poor.
I will be passing the book out to homeless people as well. Great idea!

@mgroves - I do feel special thanks for asking, it's nice to know that people do really care these days! I already make plenty of charitable donations with the money the government doesn't steal and give back to me. Who are you to judge what I do with MY money, what did you do with yours; probably didn't donate it to the needy or send food to Africa that's for sure.
As far as Ron Paul is concerned he doesn't think the federal government should be making those decisions for the people and wants to leave it up to the state to decide. The federal government was never intended to run our lives no matter what the democrats tell you. As far as teaching our kids about intelligent design why not, it's a much debated theory that deserves the attention in our public school system. It's not as if our kids are actually learning anything these days anyways. The true purpose of education is to empower the minds of our children, giving them a basis for making their own decisions not to be spoon-fed bullshit by some group of out of touch educators and politicians sitting in Washington. Maybe if you read a bit more about Ron Paul than what the biased mainstream media told you than you might have a different opinion on the matter. Sure his policies are not that of our current administration but do you really think the last 40 or 50 years have really gone well for this country? I think it's about time for some drastic change, the sooner the better if you ask me.
Posted by: Tom May 7th, 09:42
Um there is nothing about science in intelligent design, its religion and doesn't belong in the school system. That is why it should not be in any class. I like Ron Paul, but some of his ideas are a bit tilted. Abortion is about a women's body, men have no rights and no say what happens to it. Sorry but you can't dictate what I do with my body, have a sex change and have your own baby.
Posted by: Juice May 8th, 10:14
I guess if it's "real" science is up for debate as there are conflicting endorsements from various scientific communities. I don't think we should just throw the theory out of the window because of its link to religion; if we did that a lot of things wouldn't be taught in school. For example, the US Constitution has many references to religion so should we not talk about that either? Ron Pauls ideas are tilted, how so? Ron Pauls opinion on the matter doesn't matter, he is a firm believer of the Constitution and according to that the Federal Government has no say on the topic; how is that tilted? In regards to abortion he has also stated something along the lines of that if you killed a pregnant woman you would be charged for two murders and not one so why wouldn't the mother be charged for killing her own child? It's a very complex subject and I am sure our opinions matter but what the Constitution says is clear. Your example about having the right to do to your body and a sex change is flawed; what you do to your own body is different than killing the child inside it.

Let me just point this one thing out. You defend science (I love science too by the way) and one of the biggest things science has brought us in the last 2 decades is the identification of DNA. An unborn child, fetus or whatever you want to call it has its own DNA, meaning it is a separate person. You are not removing a tumor or a mole or anything else unwanted related to your body; it is a human. For all you pro-choice zealots out there, justify it any way you want but it doesnt change the fact that you are killing another human being. Just because something is legal (abortion), does not make it right. There are other alternatives to your poor planning and decision making, like adoption. You don't have to kill.
Posted by: Howard May 9th, 10:48
I am so tired of people telling other people what they can and cant do with there own bodies. While I would not choose to abortion. I would not take that away from another person. I can not sit her and judge another woman for what she believes, and neither should you. There is only one person or being that can do that and we are not it. You have no idea the things that a woman goes through when she makes that decision to do it. As for 41 copies of a book from a man who is a zealot himself I don't know seems a bit extreme but to each hers or his own I guess.

OK, just on the "Womens right to choose". Although I would never in my life support a law that told a woman what to with her body, where is the common sense line drawn? A good majority of the time befor a woman makes the choice of either to keep a baby or not. They make the choice of getting into bed with a guy, or for that matter using the proper protection. Like I said, I am not against womens right to choose, but let me be the first to support the idea of cutting some tubes for those repeat offenders out there. If you dont want a kid take the proper steps, last time I checked it's 2008. We're not in the 60's anymore. you can see a doctor for protection if your to lazy for a rubber. I support keeping your legs shut in the first place if you can't handle the effect.
Don't stand in the street unless you want to get hit by a car.
It's your choice....
