• No Credit For Bush

"I might spend my check after Bush leaves office, my house and cars are paid for, and I have no bills. I'm not particularly interested in providing Mr. Bush with any credit at all. After all, his lavish spending habits are the cause of this situation.

But, then again it depends who the next president is, if it's a Republican, my checks are destined for permanent 'savings'"

  • Good choice!

  • Good thing you're not spending it. If you elect a democrat, you can give your check to your nearest: welfare recipient, unwed 17 year old mother of 2, food stamp user, etc. Good choice in blaming Bush and keeping your check...the democrats have more social programs to fund and need all your help.

  • Hey goober, Bush just signed off on the rebate, Congress is the one who came up with it.

  • Hey Mike-
    Good choices.
As for Joey's comments, yeah I guess the Democrats "waste" money on social programs. But it seems better than where the neocons are wasting it now. Not just money, but lives.

  • Too bad righteous Bush did make this happen.
I agree, won't spend mine until he is gone.
King Bush just wants us to put it in our gas tanks for him to justify this war more.

  • count your blessings that you have no need for the money. It will keep my family in our home another month while I stress over how to pay the following month.
    Peace and Blessings!

  • When ours arrives, we will be saving ours as well. If Obama gets elected we will all have a good deal saved or get a second job. He is going to raise taxes.

  • I'm pretty sure your piddly check won't make a dent in Bush's plan. Don't bite your nose off to spite your face. Spend the $ and enjoy yourself, you could be gone tomorrow.

  • Wow, another Bush basher who has to blame the world on the president. I can't wait for a democrat to get in office so EVERYONE can get off welfare, so EVERYONE can afford houses to purchase, so EVERYONE can afford gasoline for their vehicles, so EVERYONE can fly on a plane, so EVERYONE can eat steak, and so EVERYONE can just get along in the world. <eyeroll>

  • 1. Buy a tripod for your camera.
    2. I am sure that your old SLR has a timer on it.
    so take a self portrait.
    3. Inspect said portrait. Conclude that you are an
    overweight, liberal pig.
    4. Invest in an exercise bike or a stair climber or a
    health club membership.

  • I think it is just to drive us further into debt for whatever his end plan is. Switching to the Euro? Amero? Not sure, but sure seems bad.

As far as food stamp users go, I am a medical student and my husband has a MA of info tech and lost his job. For the first time we are on food stamps, had to because eating once every three weeks doesn't turn out so well.

With the costs of everything and the depression it will be more common.
