All on the Mortgage Payment
"I spent my $600 stimulus check on my mortage and I had to add $100. I wish my check had been larger because we still need food in the house and gas in the truck. "

Perhaps if you bought a more affordable house (Americans with granite counter tops and a kitchen big enough for an island who by and large don't cook is beyond me) you could also buy food (another hint: buy raw food, and learn to cook, it's significantly cheaper than processed food, plus in the long run you'll most likely save on medical bills, which I hear is a real problem in the US).

We purchased a very affordable house almost two years ago. Since our purchase, we had to install a new heating and cooling unit, and 500.00 to have the septic tank pumped, which we were told would not last longer. These days, you buy a house, you buy a pig in a poke...I don't care how through you inspect it! With that said, it's no wonder some folks simple can't stay ahead of the game.
