When seconds count, the police are only minutes away
"Since police departments in this state have no funding and the criminal justice system clearly doesn't work to protect civilians, I spent my rebate on a new 9mm handgun, ammo, a concealed weapons class and permit, and a sexy leather holster to wear everyday."

This is really a sick tax stimulus "gift". The security of having a hand gun is BS and is NRA lobbying rusted argument. For a proof, there are wayyyyy less fire arm criminality in countries where weapons are forbidden, you should be ashamed big time of this purchase.

Jason, when seconds count you will be prepared to defend yourself and your loved ones.
Pay no mind to the idiotic liberal morons we have to tolerate in this country.

Good for you, sir! It's a shame Doug is so hoplophobic he doesn't realize what you've done is Constitutional, not criminal.
"The NRA argument is BS", etc. LOL! If only he would research how many lives are SAVED every day by means of self-defense! (approx 5500)
The only I can pick on/tease you for is not getting a .45! :)

Well, the bad guys will just love to get their hands on your weapon, I assure you. Also, if they know you pack it, they will assume you have more in your home and will break in to get them and whatever else they can get their hands on. Then, they'll wait a couple of months for your insurance to pay for replacement goodies, and the cycle continues.
I doubt you will have it at your side or on you 24/7. Chances are, though, if it IS every used in an emergency, it will more likely used against you or a loved one.
The comment about the low gun crime in countries where guns are illegal: Yeah, they use knives, sticks, bats, swords/machetes, rocks, bricks, you name it.

Oh, Jason, I noticed that you are in retail management. I cannot imagine upper management allowing you to carry a concealed weapon to work, let alone keep it in your vehicle on work property. Is your workplace different than most?

If you are ever driving in or near Lake Linden, be careful about cutting this guy off.

I am HAPPY to hear that you got the CLASS along with your CWP! Too many people buy a firearm and a CWP and have no idea how to use it, nor the consequences of doing so.
PS I've completed my firearms training, have a handgun, am purchasing another, larger, weapon, and will be getting my CWP next week.
