• Quality Time

"My stimulus check will go toward the $18,000 in vet bills accrued treating my beloved white boxer Jasper for brain cancer. As many have said, he's worth every penny and I hope to have bought him six to 18 months of quality time before he crosses the Rainbow Bridge. "

  • Best of luck to you and Jasper. Yes, indeed. Money WELL spent. Can you put a price on love?

  • I know how hard all of that is. I spent about the same for Bosco, my 8 yr. old choc lab who had cardio myopathy and had to literally be drained of fluid from his abdomen once a week. He crossed the rainbow bridge in late April. God bless you for helping Jasper.

  • Best of luck to you and Jasper. I've been there twice with my boxers, luckily for us we have stopped it in both of them. I will say a prayer for Jasper and send lots of drool and kisses his way. I know exactly how you feel, I would mortgage my house for them if we had too.

  • Thank you Mike, Patte, Penny, Katie, and Lisa... your kindness means the world to me and my dear companion. This dog also has denegenerative myelopathy, the canine form of multiple sclerosis. Despite it all, his sunny personality remains as bright as ever. As long as he's still excited when he hears the leash jingle or the lid come off the biscuit jar, I will do whatever I can for him. No Mike, you can't put a price on love.

  • I think you are absolutely amazing to invest so much into your pet's health. I work at a vet clinic and see so many people do the bare minimum; so seeing devoted owners give their pet's every opportunity to survive reminds me of why I got into this career. Thank you for being a great owner.
Good luck to Jasper, it's obvious that he has parents that spoil him the way every Boxer deserves!

  • I have Chihuahua's and have spent $8,000 in one week when my adorable youngest four-legged children got sick about a week before Christmas 2005,they finally figured out that he was being poisoned by his own body because his liver wasn't functioning properly,at one and a half pounds fully grown he didn't have long to live and he died on Christmas morning, our kids have not asked for a single present since then other than he be able to come back to us,of course that's not possible and at 15 and 12 they still wish he was here. His name was Swiper from the Dora the Explorer cartoon and he definately Swiped our heart. So cudo's to you on not being one of those people who think that if the procedure is to expensive we should put them to sleep,we don't do it with humans and we shouldn't do it in animals if there is any hope of recovery and here is no suffering. He looks happy and healthy and I sure hope that he makes a full recovery and with the amount of love you are giving him he may very well be blessed with a miracle, animals and children always deserve devine intervention.
