No Stimulus for You!

“Despite the fact that I work my kiester off trying to make a living in one of the most expensive cities in the world, I did not qualify for a “stimulus” check because I’m apparently “too rich”. It’s quite stupid reasoning, really: the purpose of these checks is to STIMULATE the economy. I don’t begrudge anyone their check, but putting the checks ONLY in the hands of people who are just going to pay for bills and necessities will not achieve that goal. If anything, the checks ought to go to people like me: debt-free … because we’re the ones most likely to use those checks to actually “stimulate” the economy by buying something like an iPod or a piece of furniture.”
